The good and bad of sleep
The best thing for your skin is not skincare product or healthy food. It’s sleep.
I’m not saying that having a healthy diet has nothing to do with healthy skin; nor am I suggesting that skincare products are useless. The point I’m trying to make here is: nothing can help your skin look “really” good (Makeup doens’t count!) if you’re not getting enough sleep.
Sleep lets your body and so your skin rest. Every time I wake up with a good sleep, I feel so good with my skin; and it just happened yesterday.
After sleeping for about 12 hours, I woke up and did some housework; and before I started working on any of my assignments and study, I went back to sleep. I slept from 6p.m. to 12p.m.; and I felt so refreshed when I woke up after this 6-hour “nap”. Of course, my skin felt good, too. That’s when I learned the importance of sleep to my skin; and this is the end of the skin story.
What I’m gonna say next is what happened last night after that 6-hour nap. I thought I wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep until dawn, but surprisingly, after a shower and a meal, I fell asleep at about 4a.m. and guess when I woke up today?
Well, I woke up a few times, but I didn’t get out of my bed until nearly 2p.m.. I can’t believe how much I’ve slept. It’s really way too much, and I feel a bit dizzy today. Bad eh?! Yeah…… what’s worse is that I’m actually not allowed to sleep that much because I have tones of work to do.
Anyway, I feel really bad now that it’s nearly 8p.m., and I don’t seem to have gotten much done. I’m scared and worried, and this’s probably why I’m writing here. Well well well, time to stop! I really should get back to my work. Hope there will be some good news tmr, say …… I finish one of my programming assignments. Yay!
