a good news and a bad news

October 12th, 2005

I shouldn’t be spending time on writing my blog now coz I actually need to work on a python program for 2-3-4 tree, which is due tmr at 10a.m.. When did I start on this assignment? Today…. so you can imagine how limited time is for me now.

Anyway, there’s a good news to share with you.

The 25% QUIZ on Thursday (ok! It’s a quiz, but it’s worth 25% of the final mark) is postponed to next Tuesday because the prof was sick last week and we’re a bit behind schedule. Well, it’s a good news becoz a programming assignment which was supposed to be due this Tuesday at 10a.m. is now due on Friday morning and …. the change of the quiz date allows me to work on this programming assignment on Wednesday instead of cramming for the quiz……. so….  yay! The Force is with me.

However, I’d rather have the quiz this Thursday than knowing that the prof was sick. (What are you thinking? I fell in love with my prof? Of course not!)

Last Thursday, actually, was not the first time the professor had to be absent from the class due to sickness. He once ended the lecture all of a sudden because he didn’t feel very well. You know? It was a bit shocking that a professor felt so ill that he had to end the lecture in the middle; so when I went to class last Thursday, finding that it was cancelled because the prof was ill, I had an urge to email him, sending him my regards.

So I did.

Well, I didn’t expect that he would reply me; even if he did, it would just be a simple ThankYou; but that’s ok coz the reason I wrote to him was not to get back anything. Anyway, he did reply me; and he wrote more than I had expected.

Honestly, I’m very happy about it; but I didn’t write back coz that would seem too much. Today when I saw him at the door of the lecture hall, waiting for the end of the last class that’s using the same lecture hall, I asked him if he felt better. Unfortunately, he said, “not really”…. I didn’t know what to say …so I replied him with a frown.

I know how important health is, and I particularly understand how bad it is to be sick without being able to find out the reason. Anyway, I have to stop here.

I really hope that he’ll feel better soon.
