Watching all six Star Wars movies simultaneously

November 12th, 2005

From Slashdot:

DavidSJ writes “WeirdHat created a video of all Star Wars movies being played simultaneously, side-by-side, and then watched it. Some notable finds: the first appearance of Palpatine in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones is on the same frame. Also, the Jedi Rocks music in Episode VI provides amusing accompaniment to the Anakain/Obi-Wan vs. Dooku fight in Episode III.”

What do I think of it? Well, it’s very interesting, but I dun think I would spend time on watching it and noting the interesting coincidences and effects it produces. After all, I’m not really a hardcore Star Wars Fan. I’m just somehow totally attracted by the idea of the Force.
Nevertheless, I don’t think there’s anything stupid about someone combining the Saga like this. Why did someone say something bad about it and even said that Star Wars were Garbage? I respect his/her rights of voicing his/her opinions, but did he/she respect other people on what they liked? Besides, this impolite someone is simply too stupid to realize how much Star Wars has influenced the whole Hollywood. Yes that the Trilogy looks a bit outdated from today’s point of view, but there are still a lot of amazing things in the movies.
Even an movie so “old” like Citizen Kane (1941) has things that are worth-noting and are actaully highly admired by many people in the field.
Anyway, that’s enough of my bs. This SlashDot thing has been distrating me from working on my assignments. Darn…. I’m gonna regret of it next week when I have to crammed for my midterms and quiz.
