The highly-anticipated MacBook Pro will be shipping in February
January 12th, 2006
Heard of its arrival a few days ago, and I immediately shouted out my excitement on my MSN Messenger.
A few friends thought I was getting it. Well, I was not sure if I like it or not because it was bigger and heavier than an iBook; though 4 to 5 times faster than a PowerBook as claimed by Steve Jobs.
Besides, I want a white laptop. iBook is cheap and actually powerful enough for me.
I dun play computer game. I dun need it to watch a movie. I dun do graphics. Then why do I need a Powerbook or even a MacBook Pro ?!
I did think about getting a really cheap laptop and install unix. Unix doesn’t require a lot of resources like disk space and ram. Sure it might be a bit inconvenient when you first use it; but as one of my professor said, “Unix is user-friendly, but it’s just choosy about who its friends are”, I’m sure this wouldn’t be a problem.
Nevertheless, finding a cheap laptop that I would like is not an easy task. I guess I care about appearance too much that I won’t be able to stand some really outdated models. I know it’s silly, but it’s me!
Anyway, there isn’t really a choice for me now. I dun really have any extra money to buy a laptop. All these are just a dream.
