The number of numbers you can count by two hands “binarily” is 1024 (2^10); or you can think of it in another way: the largest number I can represent by two hands.
That’s simply having all ten fingers sticking out, and the summation of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, …… , 2^9 (=1023) is the largest number you can represent by two hands; plus the zero you can represent by having all ten fingers tucked into a fist, you get 1024.
Anyway, I dun think the person who asked me this question doesn’t know the answer, but I’d love to answer it anyway. Too bad that MSN Space doens’t seem to let me reply the comment of my post directly under the same thread. This explains why I have to make any other post here.
